Oatmeal with Pomegranate & Citrus

Plain oatmeal could certainly use with some “dressing up.” And what could be more delicious than a warm bowl of oats with the colorful and flavorful pop of pomegranate seeds and orange segments? 


Makes: 1 portion

Prep Time: 10 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Ingredients

¼ cup rolled oats

⅓ cup dairy-free milk (or milk of choice)

2 Tbsp pomegranate arils

1 small orange, peeled and segmented

2 Tbsp chopped almonds

Instructions

  1. Add milk to a small saucepan and bring to a boil
  2. Stir in oats, and turn down the heat to a simmer
  3. Cook for about 5 minutes
  4. Spoon into a bowl and top with pomegranate seeds, oranges, and almonds
  5. Serve and enjoy!
